چکیده

Skin of 14-day icjic and + / + embryos was separated into dermal and epidermal layers using trypsin, and recombined in the combinations + /+ epidermis with + /+ dermis, +/ + epidermis with icfic dermis, icjic epidermis with + /+ dermis, and icjic epidermis with ic/ic dermis. The recombined tissues were implanted in adult histocompatible testes and allowed to grow for 2 weeks. The type of hair that developed in the grafts corresponded to the genotype of the epidermis, and was not influenced by the genotype of the dermis. We conclude that the ic locus acts in the epidermis.

The site of action of the naked locus (N) in the mouse as determined by dermal-epidermal recombinations.

The dermal-epidermal recombination technique was used to determine the site of action of the naked (N) locus in the skin of the mouse. The skin of athymic (nude) mice was used as a host site for growth of recombined epidermis and dermis from 13- and 14-day N/+ and +/+ embryos. Grafts that contained mutant epidermis lost their hair by 26 days after grafting (at the end of the first hair cycle) a...

The site of action of the fuzzy locus (fz) in the mouse, as determined by dermal-epidermal recombinations.

The site of action of the mutation fuzzy (fz) was investigated by the method of dermalepidermal recombination. Skins from 14-day mutant and normal mouse embryos were separated into dermal and epidermal components, recombined, and grown in the mouse testis for 14 days. Grafts that contained mutant epidermis as one of the components produced many abnormal hairs characteristic of fuzzy mice. There...

Evaluation of the relationship between clinicoepidemiological features of melasma and the level of involvement on wood’s lamp Examination

Background: Melasma is a common acquired hyperpigmentationdisorder often appearing on the face of young women. Melasmais classified into four groups based on Wood’s lamp examination:epidermal, dermal, mixed, and indeterminate. The goal of this studywas to evaluate the relationship between clinicoepidemiologicalcharacteristics of melasma and the level of involvement underWood’s lamp examination....

Epidermal mucus, a major determinant in fish health: a review

Fish epidermal mucus contains innate immune components, secreted by globlet cells that provide the primary defence against different pathogenic microbes and act as a barrier between fish and its immediate niche. The major function of mucus includes entrapment and sloughing of microbes. The mucus also contains many factors such as antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), lysozymes, lectins, proteases, etc...

Localization of Epidermal-Type Fatty Acid Binding Protein (E-FABP) in Degeneration and Regeneration of Sciatic Nerve after Crush Injury in Mouse

Purpose:The regeneration of axon and myelin sheet after crush injury of peripheral nerves involves interaction of several types of cells, including Schwann cells, monocyte, macrophage and fibroblast. Among them, haematogenous macrophages invading into the peripheral nervous systein play a major role in myelin uptake during Wallerian degeneration. Materials and Methods: In this study 35 C57/BL6 ...
